Old World Manicotti

24 large manicotti shells
8 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
4 cups ricotta cheese
3 tablespoons dried basil
2 (26 ounce) jars prepared spaghetti sauce
1 cup parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 350*. Spray 2- 13x9 inch glass baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.

Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and run under cold water to cool. Let pasta dry on paper towels.


For filling, mix 6 cups mozzarella cheese with ricotta and basil. Using a teaspoon, carefully stuff pasta shells with prepared cheese mixture.

Spoon 2 cups spaghetti sauce into each prepared pan. Arrange stuffed shells over sauce. Pour remaining sauce over top of pasta. Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese.

Bake manicotti for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with parmesan, bake 10 minutes longer. Enjoy!
