Easy Bread

This bread is, as stated in the title, very easy. It is always a hit around here! I have had lots of requests for the recipe after serving it when we have company.
It makes two large loaves, which is nice for a big family. I have made regular loaves or fancier shapes....I like to braid it. If you want to make a braid (actually two), just braid it as you would your own hair. This might be a little hard for the guys to braid it "as you would your own hair" (I hope it would:-)), but with a little practice, I'm sure it will turn out great. So, without further adieu, the recipe!

2 cups warm water
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup melted butter
5 teaspoons dry yeast
2 teaspoons salt
1 egg
6 1/2 to 7 cups flour

Put all ingredients in mixer. Mix with dough hook (if you don't have one, a regular beater will work) until dough forms. Place dough in a greased bowl and cover with a hot, wet towel. Let rise until at least doubled in size. Divide in two parts. Shape into desired shape, let rise again until at least doubled in size. Bake at 350* for about twenty to twenty-five minutes. Enjoy!!
