1 large onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 carton(15 oz.) ricotta cheese
1/2 c. half-and-half cream
2 Tbs. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 c. sliced green onions
Crackers
- In a skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Using slotted spoon, remove to paper towels to drain. In the drippings, saute the onion and garlic until tender; remove with slotted spoon.
- In large mixing bowl, beat ricotta cheese, cream, flour, salt, and pepper until smooth. Add eggs; beat on low speed just until combined. Stir green onions, sauteed onion and bacon into egg mixture. Pour into greased 8-in. springform pan. Place pan baking sheet.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until center is almost set. Cool pan on wire rack for 10 minutes. Run a knife around the edge of the pan to loosen. Remove sides of pan. Serve warm with crackers.
