"AJ's Lasagna"

2 lbs. ground beef
Sauce:
1 (29 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
2 (6 oz. each) cans tomato paste
3 tbsp. parsley flakes
2 tbsp. Italian seasoning
2 cloves fresh garlic
2 tbsp. sugar
Onion powder, to taste

Cheese Mixture:
2 cups mozzarella cheese
2 cups cheddar cheese
2 cups (16 oz.) cottage cheese
3/4 cup (6 oz.) ricotta cheese

9-12 lasagna noodles

Topping:
1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese

Brown meat, drain off fat. Add sauce ingredients and simmer for 5-10 minutes on low.

In separate bowl combine cheese mixture.

In a 9x13 pan, layer:
1/4 meat mixture

3 to 4 lasagna noodles

(If you have long noodles use 3 at a time.)

(If you have short noodles use 4 at a time.)

Then layer 1/2 the cheese mixture.

Repeat layers once (meat mixture, noodles, cheese mixture), then layer:
1/4 meat sauce
3-4 lasagna noodles
1/4 meat sauce

Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes to 1 hour...or until bubbly. Remove from oven and top with mozzarella cheese. Allow to set for 10-15 minutes before serving. *Serves 12

After mom had my little sister, "Nan", Mrs. Arnold brought us meal. She brought us lasagna and everyone said how good it was and that we needed to get her recipe! This is it, and is definitely a hit around here. It is also a good "company meal". Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Yummm! It sounds really good! We are Italian so we like anything like this! We'll have to try it. We also really like the one that you make with the rotini noodles. That's a regular for our family.
